Kerst in groen met goud - Stampin' For Christmas Bloghop

Hallo en welkom bij deze Stampin' For Christmas Bloghop!
Je bent nu in Nederland aangekomen, Mijn naam is Annette Elias, van de Kijkkast!

Hello and welcome to the Stampin'For Christmas Blog Hop!

Waarom maken we het onszelf zo moeilijk, en waarom zouden we alleen vlak voor de kerst kerstkaarten maken... als dat ook verspreid door het hele jaar kan!
Daarom doe ik graag mee met deze bloghop.... Er is immers genoeg te vinden in de jaarcatalogus waarmee je ook nu bezig kunt zijn met je kerstkaarten! Ik vind het een gave uitdaging!

Why would we only make Christmascards when it comes close to Christmasday.... When we can also spread the fun over the whole year. That is why I love participating in this Hop. There are enough products available right now to start making cards rightaway. I think it is a nice challenge!

Zeker nu de nieuwe Mini Catalogus van start gegaan is, is er volop inspiratie te vinden! Nieuwe materialen geven altijd weer een lekkere creatieve boost! Ik kon het dan ook niet laten om voor deze bloghop met een nieuwe set aan de slag te gaan!

Especially now the new Mini Catalog is out there are lots of inspiration! New products always give a delightful creative boost! So I could not resist using one of those new products for this bloghop!

Het werd een kaart met een heerlijke klassieker, de Mistletoe! Ook als je de bijbehorende gewoontes en tradities die er om deze takjes bestaan niet kent is het een prachtig en tijdloos kerstthema!

A card with a lovely classic, the Mistletoe! Even if you don't know anything about the traditions and stories that are attached to the Mistletoe, it is a beautiful, timeless theme to use for Christmas!

De set Mistletoe Magic met de bijpassende Mistletoe Dies vielen mij meteen op, de eerste keer dat ik de Mini Catalogus doorbladerde! De verfijning en prachtige vormgeving van deze bundle vond ik meteen ZO prachtig! En ook zo echt kerstig, maar dan toch net even anders dan waar je wellicht als eerste denkt bij kerst. Ik kreeg gewoon meteen zin om er mee te gaan stempelen, kleuren etc. Kortom, die set moest er komen! ;o)

The set Mistletoe Magic and the matching Mistletoe caught my eye the first time I wandered through the new Mini Catalog. The refinement, and the beautiful design are just SO beautiful! So Christmassy, but stil a bit different than other, more regular Christmasthemes. I just wanted to start stamping, colouring etc. Conclusion.... I had to have this set!

En het heeft me allesbehalve teleurgesteld! Wat een pracht! En je kunt er zo veel looks aan geven! Vandaag koos ik voor een distressed look in groen, gecombineerd met goud!

And it di not dissapoint me at all! Such a gorgeous set! You can give it all kind of looks! Today I chose for a bit of a distressed look in green, combined with gold.

Ik startte met de achtergrond, Lekker inktig en kliederig, met twee tinten groen! Deze komen ook terug in de tussenlaag en basiskaart.

I started with the background. Inky and smoochy, in two green colours. Both colours come back in the layer and base card.

Ik stempelde en heat emboste de Mistletoetakjes in goud, en kleurde ze in met inkt en de Water Painters. Daarna droogde ik ze en stanste ik ze uit.

Later deze maand geef ik in de Kijkkast VIP Lounge een tutorial waarin ik uitleg hoe deze Watercolourtechniek werkt.

I stamped and heat embossed the Mistletoebranches in gold, and watercoloured them with ink and the Water Painters. After drying I diecut them.

Later this month I will do a tutorial with this technique in the Kijkkast VIP Lounge.

Om wat meer laagjes en diepte te creeeren nam ik ook de detailstans uit de Mistletoedies set, en stanste daarmee wat takjes uit het Distressed Gold Specialty Paper.

To get some more layers and depth I also took the detailed die from the Mistletoe Dies Set and diecut some branches from the Distressed Gold Specialty Paper.

Dit schitterende papier moet je eigenlijk in het echt zien! Zo mooi! Het geeft ook precies de dosis goud EN de versleten sfeer die ik voor mijn kaart wilde! Het is te vinden in de Jaarcatalogus.

This gorgeous paper has to be seen in real to see its full beauty! It is just so pretty! It also gives right the amount of gold AND the distressed effect that I was looking for, for this card! This paper can be found in our Annual Catalog.

Zoals je ziet gebruikte ik dit papier ook als laagje tussen de panelen, voor een mooie glanzende omlijsting! Zo verbind je alles altijd zo mooi met elkaar.

As you can see I also used this paper as a layer between the panels. for a lovely gold frame-effect. This is such a nice way to connect all the elemants in the card!

Met Mini Dimensionals zorgde ik voor diepte tussen de takjes.

With Mini Dimensionals I made some dimension between the branches.

Tenslotte stanste ik het strikje uit het Brushed Metallic Cardstock, en voegde ik wat Brushed Metallic Dots toe, om het "goudgehalte" mooi compleet te maken. Door het geborstelde effect van beiden "mengen"ze mooi in de rest van de kaart!

As a final step I diecut the bow from some Brushed Metallic Cardstock and added some Brushed Metallic Dots, to stay true to the gold theme. The brushed effect of both makes them blend nicely with the other elements of the card.
