En toevallig heb ik er pas nog twee gemaakt, omdat we begin februari twee jarige zoons hadden!
And I happen to havemade two recently, since we had two sons celebrating their birthdays earlier this month!
Ik vind het altijd leuk om ze een kaart te geven die helemaal op hen is afgestemd! Dit werd de kaart voor onze zoon die 27 is geworden.
I always like giving them cards that are made based on who they are and what they like. This card was made for the oldest, that celebrated his 27th birthday.
Zijn naam is Aram en blauw-groen is zijn lievelingskleur! Hij heeft ook enorm veel interesses en hobbies, zoals geologie, kristallen en stenen, om er maar eens een paar te noemen. In deze kaart heb ik geprobeerd zijn lievelingskleuren te combineren met het verzamelen van mooie stenen en kristallen. Hij houdt ook van grafische patronen en strakke lijnen dus ook dat wilde ik laten terugkomen.
His name is Aram and blueish green is his favourite colour, and he has a lot of hobbies, like geology, crystals, stones and gems, to name just a few. In this card I have tried to represent his favourite colours, and his collection of stones and crystals. He also likes geomatric shapes and patterns, and clean lines so I also wanted to incorporate that in the design.

Ik stanste drie grote, en twee kleine kristalachtige vierhoeken uit met de stansset, in de kleuren Pretty Peacock en Pool Party!
I Diecut three big and two small diamondlike shapes with the dies set, in the colours Pretty Peacock and Pool Party!
De achtergrond maakte ik door de diverse structuur stempels uit de set af te drukken in die zelfde kleuren!
The background was made by stamping some of the texture stamps from the set in the same two colours!
Daar overheen stempelde ik de ruitjesstructuur, die ik vervolgens in zilver emboste. Dit staat prachtig bij de kleuren en geeft de benodigde subtiele edelsteenglans!
On top of that I stamped the lattice squares which I heat embossed in silver. This is a great combination with the two colours, and it gives a subtle portion of shine.
Als decoratie kwamen er hier en daar een paar uitgestanste sterretjes, die ik in groepjes over de kaart verspreidde. Als extraatje plakte ik bij elk groepje zo'n prachtig Facetsneeuwvlokje. Hij ziet er hier uit als een prachtig sterretje, en doet natuurlijk ook weer denken aan edelstenen. De Facetsneeuwvlokjes zijn een Laatste Kans product en nu met korting te bestellen!
As a decoration I added some diecut stars, spread over the card in little groups. As an extra detail each group got a beautiful Facet Snowflake. It looks like a star in this setting, and ofcourse it also reminds us of gems and crystals! The Snowflake are a Last Chance product and can now be ordered for a reduced price.
De grote tekst heat emboste ik ook, nu in wit, op Pretty Peacock cardstock. De kleine tekst stempelde ik simpelweg op een strookje Pool Party cardstock.
The big text was heat embossed as well, in white, on Pretty Peacock cardstock. The smaller text was simply stamped on a strip of Pool Party cardstock.
Beide teksten komen uit deze set Fabulous Sayings, het product van de maand Januari, dat nog steeds te verkrijgen is. Je kunt deze set voor slechts 6 euro bestellen bij een bestelling vanaf 90 euro. Je ziet mij deze tekst heel vaak gebruiken, ik vind hem geweldig en heel bruikaar!

Ik zag de ogen van onze zoon oplichten toen hij de kaart zag, dus ik denk wel dat mijn poging geslaagd was! Hoe leuk is het als je kinderen al uitkijken naar wat voor kaart ik deze keer weer gemaakt zal hebben, in de wetenschap dat ik deze speciaal op hen heb afgestemd! Heel kostbaar! En uiteraard zijn mijn kaarten voor hen altijd met heel veel liefde gemaakt.
I saw the eyes of our son lighting up when he saw the card, so I think it was a good try! How fun it is that our children always look forward to seeing what kind of card I made this time, knowing that it was made especially for that day, with them in mind. So precious! and ofcourse my cards are always made with love!
