Vintage voor de boekenfan - Totally Techniques Bloghop - Fun Fringeing

Welcome to this Bloghop of the International Totally Technique Designteam! This month we have chosen another fun technique again and together we will show you several examples of it! Happy to see you here!

Deze keer gaan de franjes maken met papier, oftewel Fun Fringeing!

This time we will make some lovely fringes with paper, Fun Fringeing!

Met franje kun je op een eenvoudige manier, en zonder extra materialen nodig te hebben, veel textuur aan je kaart toevoegen! En dat wilde ik graag doen op deze kaart, die voor een bijzondere jarige bedoeld is!

With fringes you can add lots of texture to your card, without any materials and in a very simple way! And that is what I wanted to do on this card, that was made for a very special person!

Meer dan papier en een schaar heb je er niet voor nodig! 

You don't need anything more then some paper and a pair of scissors.

Ik nam een stuk van dit mooie Country Lace DSP, en rilde met mijn Paper Trimmer een lijntje, ongeveer 1,5 cm van beide kanten.

Met mijn Paper Snips schaartje, knipte ik aan beide lange zijden kleine knipjes, tot aan de gerilde lijn! En klaar is de franje rand!

I took a piece of this lovely Country Lace DSP, and scored a line with my Paper Trimmer, approx 1,5 cm from the sides.

With my Paper Snips I cut little slits on both of the long sides, until the scored line.

Now you have a fringed edge!

Maar als je wat meer wilt, en je een lekker ruig en rustiek franje-randje wilt maken kun je het papier aan de achterzijde licht vochtig maken door er met een Water Painter een paar keer over heen te gaan. Het papier wordt dan heel soepel en daardoor kun je het met je vingers heel makkelijk kreuken. Als je het vervolgens goed laat drogen, blijven die kreuken goed in je papier zitten.

But if you want a bit more, and like to give the fringed edge a more rough and rustic look, you can lightly moisten the paper from the backside by wiping a Water Painter over the fringed part of the card. This makes the paper very soft, and easy to crinkle and crumple. When you let it dry these funny shapes hold very well!

It fits nicely with the booktheme of this card, don't you think?

Ik ben helemaal WEG van deze unieke set met de naam For the Books, die te vinden is in de Mini Catalogus.

I just LOVE this unique set named For the Books, that can be found in the new Mini Catalog.

Een geweldige set voor de echte boekenliefhebber... zoals bijvoorbeeld onze dochter. Ze heeft een prachtige boekenkast vol en leest ze allemaal! De kaart is dan ook voor haar!

A Great set for the true booklover...... like for instance our daughter. She has wall ful of great books and she reads them all. So yes, this card is meant for her!

Ik stempelde alle boeken, en kleurde ze in met Stampin'Blends! Hierbij gebruikte ik mooie gedekte kleuren want daar houdt ze van! Je kunt lekker afwisselen met de diverse boekenstempels in de set, om er een afwisselend geheel van te maken. En zie je dat leuke brilletje? Ook die stempel zit in de set!

Met smalle strookjes cardstock maakte ik net echte boekenplanken!

I stamped all the books, and coloured them with Stampin'Blends. For this I chose some muted, natural colours, because that is what our daughter loves the most. It is fun to vary with the bookstamps in the set, to make it a versatile overall look. And did you see that little pair of glasses? That is  a stamp in the set too!

With small strips of cardstock I made the shelves for the books, to get a realistic look!

Natuurlijk hoort er een passende tekst bij, en deze kleedde ik ook nog helemaal "in style" aan met die prachtige boekenstans, en die enorm schattige kleine "kwastjes". Die zijn heel simpel te maken met de speciale stans in de set! Zijn ze niet leuk?

Ofcourse I wanted a fitting text, that I dressed up, ofcourse "in style" with the theme of this card, with the beautiful diecut book and the lovely tassels! There is a special die in the set to make these, so they are super easy to make and extremely cute!

Heel veel randjes zijn lekker bruin geinkt om ze oud te laten lijken, en sommige randjes zijn ook nog wat opgekreukt om het helemaal compleet te maken.

Lots of edges are inked brown to make them look a bit old, and some edges are more or less crincled as well.

Sierlijke Blaadjeskaart met Caring Leaves - Ink Stamp Share Bloghop - Autumn/Halloween

Hallo en wat leuk dat je bij deze maandelijkse Ink, Stamp, Share Bloghop komt kijken! Je bent nu bij de Kijkkast, en mijn naam is Annette Elias. Welkom!

Deze maand hebben we als thema: Herfst/Halloween

This month our theme is Autumn/Halloween

Met mijn kaart koos ik voor een duidelijk herfstig thema, maar de kleurcombinatie past ook heel goed bij Halloween, vind ik!

With my card I chose clearly for an autumnal theme, but the colours are a bit "Halloweenish" I think!

De kleuren paars en oranje passen zo goed bij elkaar! En in dit geval geeft het zo bij elkaar ook een moderne look aan de kaart!

The colours purple and orange go so well together! And in this case it gives the card a modern look too!

Maar kijk eens goed naar deze blaadjes! Zijn ze niet prachtig?

But please take a closer look at these leaves! Aren't they pretty!?

Ik maakte ze met deze prachtige set Caring Leaves! Dit is een ontzettend verrassende set! Je kijkt er in de Mini Catalogus misschien snel overheen, maar heel stiekem blijkt dit echt een pareltje te zijn, dat nodig ontdekt moet worden!

I made them with this gorgeous set Caring Leaves. This set is surprisingly pretty! It may be overlooked in the Mini Catalog rather soon, but I think it is one of the hidden treasures that deserves to be discovered!

Door de invulstempels met een Sponge Dauber te beinkten kun je deze gave tweekleurige afdrukken maken! Het Distinktive effect van de stempels maakt er iets heel bijzonders van. Met de lijntjesstempel stempelde ik vervolgens hier overheen. Na het uitknippen krulde ik de randjes lichtelijk op. Nu waren ze klaar om op mijn kaart te verwerken.

By inking the bold stamps with a Sponge Dauber I was able to get these two-colored images. The Distinktive effect of the images makes it look great. With the line-image I stamped on top of the bold images. After fussy cutting them all I curled the edges a bit. Now they were ready to use for my card!

Maar voor ik de blaadjes opplakte wilde ik nog wat structuur aanbrengen aan het achtergrondpaneel.

But before adhering the leaves I wanted to add some texture to the background.

En hiervoor is natuurlijk deze set ideaal! De naam is Of Art & Texture! Deze stoere set ligt altijd in mijn buurt, want ik vind het een onmisbare aanwinst!

Deze set is trouwens te vinden in oze Online Only afdeling!

And for getting some texture ofcourse this is the perfect set: Of Art & Texture! This set is never far away from my stamp table. I think it is a great basic set!

De tekst Heat Emboste ik, en met de Happy Label Pick a Punch maakte ik er een mooi labelrandje aan.

The text was heat embossed in White and with the Happy Label Pick A Punch I turned it into a nice label.

Wat sequins die er prachtig bij kleuren zorgen voor een subtiel glimmertje en het strikje van Bakers Twine maakt het af!

Some sequins that were exactly the richt color gives some subtle sparkle, and the little bow made with Bakers twine finishes it all off.

En omdat het zo leuk is doet deze kaart ook met een paar challenges mee! Bij Inspire Create wilden ze graag een Autumn Halloween thema, bij Just Us Girls was het thema blaadjes, dus ook die is ingevuld, en de kleurenchallenge van Color Hues vond ik zo mooi dat ik deze niet kon weerstaan!

And because it is so much fun I take part in a few challenges again! At Inspire Create Challenges they wanted to see Autumn/Halloween cards, Leaves were the theme of this week at Just us Girls, and the colorchallenge of Color Hues was one I just could not resist!

Zo, dit was dan weer mijn bijdrage voor deze keer!

Vandaag laat ik je een kaart zien met wilde bloemen en natuurlijke kleuren, waarbij ik lekker "gefreestyled" heb!

Today I show you this card with wild flowers and natural colours, on which I have been "freestyling" quite a lot!

Het was echt verleidelijk om zomaar wat aan te rommelen. Dat past bij de uitstraling van wilde bloemen, vind ik! Niet al te gepolijst en keurig, niet perfect, maar puur natuur en een beetje rauw!

It was so tempting to just mess around a bit. This goes so well with the look of wild flowers I think! Not too polished and clean, not perfect, but natural and a bit raw!

Het productpakket dat ik er voor gebruikte heet Wildflower Designs, en ik ben er WEG van! Maar ik ben dan ook dol op van die heerlijke veldboeketten!

The bundle I used is called Wildflower Designs and I just love it! But that may be because I happen to love wild flowerbouquets the most!

De bloemen zijn prachtig fijntjes getekend, alsof ze met een kroontjespen gemaakt zijn! Ook het mooi label er achter komt uit de set en kun je in diverse varianten en maten maken!

The flowers look handpenned and are so detailed! The pretty label behind the flowers is also from the set and can be made in several sizes and variations

Ik kleurde ze losjes in, in stijl met de rest van de kaart, en deed dat met inkt en Blender Pens.

I coloured them loosely, in style with the rest of the card, and did this with ink and Blender Pens.

De achtergrond is een mix van inkt, Watercolor Pencils, wat gestempel en stukjes designpapier!

The background is a mix of ink, Watercolour Pencils, some stamping and designer Series Paper!

Het prachtige designpapier heet Wildly Flowering, en heeft prachtige motieven en geweldige kleuren! Net als de stempels en stansen komt dit papier uit het Wildly Flowering Collectiepakket!

The beautiful DSP is called Wildly Flowering, and has beautiful designs and gorgeous colours!

Together with the stamps and dies this papier is from the Wildly Flowering Suite Collection!

Het stempelen in de achtergrond deed ik met de stoere vierkantjesstempel uit deze set Of Art & Texture! Dit is een Online Only set!

The stamping in the background was done with these grungy squares from the set Of Art & Texture. This is an Online Exclusive set!

Het jute touw in bijpassende kleur, het stoere tekstlabel, de geinkte randjes en de combinatie van alle onderdelen maken er een rustiek, bijzonder geheel van!

The Jute Trim in a matching colour, the cool textlabel, the inked edges, and the mix of all the elements make this a rustic, and an out of the ordinary card!
