Je bent nu in Nederland aangekomen, Mijn naam is Annette Elias, van de Kijkkast!
Why would we only make Christmascards when it comes close to Christmasday.... When we can also spread the fun over the whole year. That is why I love participating in this Hop. There are enough products available right now to start making cards rightaway. I think it is a nice challenge!
Deze keer ging ik weer eens aan de slag in de Vintage stijl! Houd jij daar ook zo van?
This time I went for a bit Vintage! Don't you love that style too?
Het werd een vierkante kaart, met veel laagjes, die je misschien niet allemaal op het eerste gezicht ziet!
It became a square card, with lots of layers, probably more layers than you notice at first sight!
En dan ook nog eens in klassieke kerstkleuren rood en groen, gecombineerd met veel bruintinten.
Also made in the classic Christmascolours red and green, combined with lots of browns!
De gebruikte set is een favorietje van mij: Joy of Noel!

De prachtige grote toef kerstgroen uit de set stempelde ik op Very Vanilla Cardstock en kleurde ik in met Stampi'Blends, met de faux Watercolourtechniek, omdat dat zo mooi bij deze Vintagestijl past!
The beautiful big arrangement of greenery was stamped in brown on Very Vanilla Cardstock and coloured with Stampin'Blends in the Faux Watercolourtechnique, since that technique fits so well with the Vintage style
De afbeelding stanste ik uit, om deze verhoogd op het kaartpaneel te verwerken.
The image was diecut to adhere it on the cardpanel with Dimensionals
Met de breisteekjesstempel uit de set bewerkte ik eerst de achtergrond, maar ook hier en daar de afbeelding, zodat ze mooi met elkaar zouden "blenden". Het geeft een stoere, grungy effect.
With the stitches background stamp I decorated the background but also the image, to make them blend nicely. It makes it all look cool and a bit grungy.
Ook stanste ik extra takjes uit met de stansset die ik hier en daar achter de gestempelde en gekleurde afbeelding stak.
Also I diecut some extra branches with the diesset, which I tucked behind the stamped and coloured image.
Ruitjes, en zeker deze mooie bruine, passen perfect bij deze kaart. Ik voegde dus een tussenlaagje toe van dit Glorious Gingham DSP, dat te vinden is in de jaarcatalogus. Om het net nog even leuker te maken bestempelde ik het met de prachtige grote stempel die ik ook op de voorzijde van de kaart had gebruikt.
Gingham, and especially those lovely brown ones, fit perfectly with the card. I added a layer of this Glorious Gingham DSP that can be found in our Annual Catalog. To spice it up I stamped it with the same greenerystamp that I had used on the frontpanel
De decoratie bestaat uit naturel lint en linnen draad, en enkele glanssteentjes in de zelfde warme bruintint. De tekst knipte ik uit en plakte ik gedeeltelijk over het lint heen.
The embellishing was done with some natural ribbon and Linen Thread, and a few Sparkly Gems in the same warm brown colour. The text was fussy cut and adhered partly overlapping the ribbon.
