Welcome to this Bloghop of the International Totally Technique Designteam! This month we have chosen another fun technique again and together we will show you several examples of it! Happy to see you here!
Deze maand doen we eens iets heel anders dan gewoonlijk! We maken One-Layer Cards, oftewel enkel-laags kaarten!
This month we are doing something quite different than usual: We will make One Layer Cards!
En 1 laag is ook echt 1 laag, dus we werken regelrecht op de kaartbasis. Best een challenge voor iemand die van laagjes houdt! Daarom leuk om dit weer eens te doen en te laten zien dat stempelen ook heel simpel en basic kan!
and 1 layer is really 1 single layer, so we will work right on the cardbase! Truely a challenge for someone who loves layers on cards! But that makes it something to strive for, and that way showing you that stamping can be completely simple and basic!
En dan is het extra uitdagend om te proberen er toch iets interessants van te maken!
And it is even more challenging to make something that is still looking interesting!
Voorbereiding: Ik sneed twee vormen uit met de Samengestelde Basisvormen Stansen uit Masking Papier. Ook sneed en vouwde ik ook twee basiskaarten uit Soft Sea Foam Cardstock
Preparations: I diecut two shapes with the Nested Essentials Dies from our Masking Paper. I also cut, scored and foled two cardbases from Soft Sea Foam Cardstock.
Stap 1: Ik plakte een van de uit het zelfklevende Maskeerpapier gestanste labels en plakte deze op een van de kaarten. Met Soft Sea Foam ink en een Blending Brush ging ik over de randen van het label. Daarna nam ik een donkerdere tint, Garden Green, en bracht op een paar willekeurige plekjes ook wat inkt aan.
Step 1: I took one of the diecut labels and used the stickiness of the Masking Paper to add it to one of my cards. Now I added some Soft Sea Foam ink over the edges, using a Blending Brush. Next I took a darker green, Garden Green, and added some ink on the edges on just a few places.
Stap 2: Nu verwijderde ik voorzichtig het Maskeerpapier. Je houdt een mooi frame over.
Step 2: Now I carefully removed the Masking Paper. What is left is this fun frame.
Stap 3: In het frame stempelde ik een prachtige bloem uit de set Gallery Blooms
Step 3: In the frame I stamped a gorgeous flower from the set Gallery Blooms.
Stap 4: Met de damastachtige stempel uit de set Prachtpatronen bracht ik met Soft Sea Foam inkt heel subtiel wat structuur aan.
Step 4: With the damask stamp from the set Prachtpatronen, which is the Dutch version of the set Beautiful Motifs and some Soft Sea Foam ink I added some subtle structure.
Stap 5: Ook de tekst komt uit deze set, en deze gaf ik een speels effect door hem meermaals te stempelen, een beetje hotseknots door elkaar.
Step 5: The text is from the same set and I gave it a playful touch by stamping it several times, and a bit wonky.
En zo is de kaart klaar! Simpel en stijlvol, toch? Maar toen had ik zin om een variant te maken. Een beetje uitgebreider!
And that is the finished card. Simple but stylish, isn't it? But after making this one, I wanted to make one more, a bit different and stepped up!
Variatie: Nu deed ik hetzelfde als bij de eerste kaart, alleen voegde ik nu een extra kleur toe bij het Ink Blenden. Misty Moonlight! Daarna stempelde ik een andere bloem uit de set Gallery Blooms. Inkleuren deed ik met Garden Green inkt en Misty Moonlight inkt met behulp van een Blender Pen!
Variation: I did exactly the same as I did with the first card. But now I added an extra colour for the Ink Blending: Misty Moonlight! Again I stamped a flower from the set Gallery Blooms and now I coloured it in Garden Green and Misty Moonlight ink with a Blender Pen!
Ook hier bracht ik wat structuur aan met de Damastachtige stempel!
Again I added some structure with the Damask stamp!
En toen was dit de tweede kaart! Maar ik was nog niet uitgespeeld en had alle spulletjes nu op tafel liggen, dus ik vroeg me af....Kan ik het een en ander ook combineren?
And this is how the second card looks! But I did not finish playing yet and had everything on the table anyway, so I wondered... Would it be possible to make a combination?
Combineren: De masks kon ik best nog een keer gebruiken dus ik plakte er eerst eentje op mijn derde kaart, inkte weer met de drie kleuren, plakte de tweede er over heen en herhaalde dit! Opnieuw stempelde ik bloemen, nu twee stuks, en ook deze kleurde ik in met de Blender Pennen.
Combineren: The masks could be used a second time so I took the first one, added it to the third card and inked the edges in the same three colours. Now I added the second mask and repeated this. Again I stamped flowers -two this time- and coloured them with inks and BlenderPens once more.
Opnieuw stempelde ik hier de tekst meerdere keren, alleen nu netjes recht!
Again I stamped the text several times, but now nicely horizontal.
En ook dit werkte goed!
And this also worked well!
Met deze techniek kun je eindeloos varieren! Combineer en varieer zoveel je maar wilt!
With this technique you can mix, combine and add variety as much as you want!
Je hebt er niet heel veel materialen voor nodig....
You don't need lots of material....
En hoewel het een enkele laag is, zit er toch diepte en dimensie in.
And although it is a single layer card there is still depth and dimension!
