Welcome to this Bloghop of the International Totally Technique Designteam! This month we have chosen another fun technique again and together we will show you several examples of it! Happy to see you here!
This time we will whow you projects made with a fun Ghost stamping technique!
Met deze techniek kun je een prachtig Ghosteffect aanbrengen in je stempelwerk, wat veel diepte geeft. Kijk maar eens naar de lichte afbeeldingen in de achtergrond!
With this technique you can create a lovely ghosteffect in your work. This gives depth and dimension, although it is still flat.
Ik gebruikte de techniek om een kerstige achtergrond te maken, en ga natuurlijk uitleggen hoe ik deze heb gemaakt!
I used the technique to make a Christmas themed background, and ofcourse I will describe and show how I made it!
De set die ik voornamelijk gebruikte is Golden Greenery, een prachtige set uit het Online Only assortiment van Stampin'Up!
The set I used the most is Golden Greenery, a gorgeous set from the Online Only assortment StampinĂšp! offers.
Ik nam de meest volle dennentakstempel en drukte deze meerdere keren af vanuit de linkerbovenhoek met White Craft inkt of Basic White Cardstock. Daarna droogde ik dit heel grondig met een Heat Tool.
I took the most bold pine tree branch and stamped this several times from the upper corner with White Craft ink on Basic White Cardstock. I made sure it dried thoroughly, using the Heat Tool.
Nu nam ik een Stampin'Spritzer en vulde deze met 8 druppels Shaded Spruce navulinkt, en vervolgens vulde ik het flesje verder af met water en draaide het dicht. Met de gemaakte spray kleurde ik het gestempelde deel een beetje en droogde dit goed.
Now I took a Stampin'Spritzer and filled it with 8 drops of Shaded Spruce refill ink, and filled the rest of the small bottle with water. Now I closed the bottle. With the spray I made this way, I coloured the stamped part of the panel a bit, and then dried it.
Je kunt zien dat de spray een subtiel zacht resist effect geeft! Door meer laagjes sprayinkt toe te voegen en dit telkens te drogen wordt het effect steeds duidelijker. Je herhaalt dit tot je tevreden bent met de achtergrond.
You can see the stamped images give a soft and subtle resist effect. By adding more layers of the spray ink and drying it after each layer the effect becomes more and more clear. You can repeat this process until you are happy with the result.
Ik bouwde de achtergrond verder op door er met de meer gedetailleerde dennentakstempel overheen te stempelen met Shaded Spruce inkt.
I built the background further by stamping the more detailed image on top of the background, with Shaded Spruce ink!
Nu kon ik de achtergrond gebruiken om mijn kaart verder op te bouwen.
Now the background was ready to use on my card!
Ik hield het helemaal in de zelfde stijl, zodat de achtergrond goed zichtbaar bleef.
I kept it all in the same colors and style so the background was still very well visible.
Ik stempelde en stanste diverse extra takjes.
I stamped and diecut several extra branches.
Ook voegde ik twee kerstklokken toe waarvoor ik ook koper embossingpoeder gebruikte. Koper staat prachtig bij de koele Shaded Spruce!
I also added two heatembossed bells in copper. Copper is a great match with the cool green Shaded Spruce!
De tekst maakte ik met de set Greetings of the Season en de bijbehorende stansset. In dit geval stapelde ik twee labels op elkaar, voor een gelaagde look.
The text label was made with the set Greetings of the Season and the matching dies. In this case I layered two tags to get a more luxurious look.
Om het koperkleurtje terug te laten komen voegde ik bijpassende embellishments toe.
The copper colour can also be seen in the matching embellishments I added.
Het is heerlijk om zelf achtergronden te maken en dan daarop je hele kaart op te bouwen!
It is so much fun to make your own backgrounds and then build your card on top of that!
