Het onderwerp van deze maand is Summertime Florals!
Er staan deze keer weer schitterende bloemenstempelsets in de jaarcatalogus, in uiteenlopende stijlen, en het leek ons leuk om jullie deze keer eens te overladen met fleurige bloemencreaties!
Our theme for this month is Summertime Florals!
This time there are such beautiful flowery stampsets in our Annual Catalog, in so many different styles, and we thought it would be fun to shower you with heaps of flowery projects!
Ik koos een van de sets uit die ik meteen heel bijzonder vond: Art in Bloom!
I chose one of the sets of which I instantly knew it is special: Art in Bloom!
En wow, wat is deze set veelzijdig en apart!
And wow, this set is so versatile and unique!
Ik ging helemaal los met inkt en water en zomerse kleuren!
I went a bit overboard with water, ink and summery colours!
Bij de Art in Bloom stempelset zijn ook bijpassende dies, en OOK een embossingfolder! Samen kun je deze op allerlei manieren samen gebruiken, combineren en zo volop varieren! Je kunt zelfs stansen en embossen tegelijk!
With the Art in Bloom Stampset are also matching dies and ALSO an amazing embossingfolder. Together they can be used, combined in several ways which gives endless opportunities for variety and creativity. Like for example you can diecut and emboss at the same time!
Deze keer lag mijn focus op messy watercoloring. Ik stempelde de bloemen met Stazon, en daarna kleurde ik ze lekker losjes in met inkt en de Water Painters. Daarna stanste ik ze uit. Ditzelfde deed ik met de blaadjes.
This time I focused on some messy watercoloring. I stamped the flowers with Stazon, and then coloured them with ink and the Water Painters in a loose, messy way. After that I diecut them. I did the same with the leaves.
De kleuren die ik gebruikte zijn Polished Pink, Fresh Freesia and Pool Party!
The colours that i used are Polished Pink, Fresh Freesia and Pool Party!
Ik vond dat deze bloemen een lekker artsty achtergrond nodig hadden, dus gebruikte dezelfde tintjes om een basis te maken door inkt op mijn Silicon Craftsheet te doen, dit te besprayen met de Stampin'Spritzer en hier het papier in te deppen.
Toen dat droog was gebruikte ik de streepjes en dotjes stempels uit de stempelset om de achtergrond wat spannender te maken.
I thought those flowers needed a bit of an artsy background, so I used the same coloirs to make the base, by adding some ink on my Silicon Craftsheet, spraying this with water, and dabbing the paper into this.
When this had thoroughly dried I used the stripy and dotty stamps to add some interest to this background.
Daarna begon het schikken en schuiven met alle bloemen en blaadjes, net zo lang tot ik een mooi compositie had gevonden. Daarna plakte ik meteen alles vast, hier en daar wat verhoogd met Stampin'Dimensionals.
Then I started playing a bit with all the elements and kept moving them until I was happy with the composition. Then it was time to adhere everything to the background, some directly and some on Stampin'Dimensionals to add depth.
Aangezien de kaart lekker uitbundig begon te worden leek een toef lint mij helemaal op z'n plaats. Natuurlijk mooi bijpassend qua kleur: Dit Open Weave Ribbon is gedeeltelijk transparant dus is niet zo snel te overweldigend.
Since the card was getting rather extravagant already ;o) I thought a bit of ribbon would be fitting! Ofcourse in a matching colour! This Open Weave Ribbon is partly transpararent so it does not soon get to overwhelming.
De tekst stempelde ik op een reststrookje cardstock en knipte ik in losse woordjes, die ik hier en daar in de bloementoef verwerkte. Ik zetten de randjes van de stukjes ietsje aan met een Stampin'Write Marker.
Als allerlaatste voegde ik nog wat In Color Jewels toe, die heerlijk fonkelen.
The text was stamped on a scrap strip of cardstock. I cut all the words apart and placed them between all the flowers. I accented the edges loosely with a Stampin'Write Marker in Fresh Freesia.\The last thing I added were some In Color Jewels, that sparkle beautifully.
