Deze keer gaan we aan de slag met iets leuks, namelijk een interactieve kaartvorm. De Wipercard, oftewel, even in het Nederlands, de wisserkaart. Wisserkaart? Ja, een gekke naam misschien, maar het interactieve onderdeel beweegt net als een ruitenwisser! In het bijgevoegde mini-videoclipje kun je dat zien!
This time will be working on something fun, interactive cards: Wiper cards! Such a silly name, you may think, but it is not that silly when you see the interactive part of this card really works and moves like an element that wipes your window! In the Mini Video clip I included in this post, I will show you the effect!
Aangezien kaarten met bewegende onderdelen altijd een gevoel van magie geven, besloot ik een kerst wiperkaart te maken, om de magie van kerst uit te beelden. En de echte magie, ligt natuurlijk in het aloude kerstverhaal van 2023 jaar geleden!
Since cards with moving element always give a sense of magic, I decided to make a Christmasversion of the wipercard, to mimic the true magic of Christmas. And ofcourse that true magic lies in the beautiful, classic story of that first Christmas, 2023 years ago!
Op deze vierkante kaart zien we het mooi gestileerde kersttafereel dat ik samenstelde met stansjes. De houten kerststal kreeg een ruwe structuur, de figuren hield ik verder wit.
On this square card A built a nativity scene, with diecuts. The wood looks a bit rustic, but all the people and animals are kept simply white.
De Night Devine Dies zijn fantastisch. Ik kon ze niet weerstaan, en heb er ook een gave workshop mee mogen geven aan mijn trouwe workshopgroep die elke vijf weken het hele land doorreist om naar me toe te komen! De details in de set zijn echt fenomenaal, en de mogelijkheden eindeloos! In de workshop maakten we bijvoorbeeld diverse 3D objecten! Hiervan zal ik ook in de VIP Lounge iets laten zien in de vorm van een video. ( de stansen zijn uitlopend maar op dit moment nog verkrijgbaar! De prijs is 33 euro)
The Night Devine Dies are just fantastic. I could not resist ordering them, and have done a lovely workshop with them too. This time we made all kind of 3 D objects with it! The details in the set are fenomenal, and the possibilities are endless. The set is retiring, but at this moment it is still available.
Maar de magie komt tot leven als de kaart wordt geopend! Op dat moment komt de ster naar boven, tot deze boven de stal komt te hangen. Klaar om de herders eb de koningen de weg te wijzen!
But the magic comes to life when the card is opened. At that moment the star comes up, until is stays above the old shed. Ready to lead the way to the sheppards and kings!

De ster moest natuurlijk mooi opvallen. Ik stanste deze in wit met de Stars at Night Hybrid Embossingfolder, gecombineerd met de Stars at Night dies, die daardoor tegelijkertijd stanst en embost! Hierdoor krijg je een mooie ster. Het wit past mooi bij de sterren in de achtergrond. Op het wit kwam een mooie gouden ster om hem extra speciaal te maken. Een gouden parel maakt het af.
Ofcourse the star needed to catch the attention, so I made it in White with the Stars at Night Hybrid Embossingfolder, matched with the Stars at Night dies, so it diecuts and embosses in one go. That way you get a lovely dimensional star. On top of the white that matches the stars in the background I added a gold star to make it extra special.A golden pearl finishes it of.
De sterren komen uit deze Stars at Night set, stansen en hybrid embossingfolder, Ook gebruikte ik diverse stempels uit de set. De set is uitlopend, maar op dit moment gelukkig nog verkrijgbaar.
The beautiful stars are from this Stars at Night Bundle: Stampes, dies and Hybrid Embossing folder. I used several stamps from the set. This set is retiring, but here in Europe it is still available at this moment.
En kijk eens hoe simpel dat wiper mechaniekje eigenlijk is! Laat het me gerust weten als je toch graag een tutorial wilt!

Alsde kaart helemaal uitgevouwen is komen er twee extra panelen in beeld, waarin het landschap mooi doorloopt. Achter de stal heb ik daarom ook vellum gebruikt.
When the card is folded open, two extra panels appear, on which the scene continues. Behind the Shed I used some vellum for that same reason.
Het was zo leuk om te maken! Aan de achterkant kwam een groot paneel waar je je persoonlijke boodschap op kunt schrijven, ik vergat hier een foto van te maken, maar in de video clip is die wel te zien ;o)
This was so much fun to make On the back of the card there is a panel with enough room for a personal message. I forgot to make a picture of that, but it is shown in the video Clip ;o)
De achtergrond maakte ik met het Oh Holy Night DSP, ook dit is uitlopend. Maar een dergelijke achtergrond kun je natuurlijk ook zelf maken, en dan in passende stukjes snijden, net zoals ik hier gedaan heb. Verder vond ik het mooi om de serene sfeer te bewaren, dus voegde ik weinig extra's toe. Less is More.
The background was made with the Oh Holy Night DSP, which is retiring too. But ofcourse you can make something similar yourself too and then cut it in fitting pieces, just like I did here too! What is wanted to achieve was to keep it simple and serene, so I did not add too much more. Less is more definitely fits here.
