Vandaag werken we met een kleuren challenge! De opdracht is om de vijf bovenstaande kleuren in en op je kaart te verwerken!
For todays hop we have been working with a Color Challenge. We were asked to use these five colours in and on our card!
Ik vond het een lieve, zachte en natuurlijke kleurcombinatie!
I thought it was a sweet, soft and natural color combination!
En aangezien ik helemaal into het kerstkaarten maken ben momenteel, voegde ik er een beetje goud aan toe voor een feestelijke touch!
And since I am all into making Christmas cards at the moment, I added a bit of gold to give it a festive touch!
Ik nam de set Artful Amaryllis er bij. Dit is een lieve, romantische set vind ik, die mij echt aan kerst doet denken. Niet omdat de Amaryllis perse een kerstbloem is, maar omdat mijn lieve mams, die dit jaar is overleden, er zo dol op was en er elk jaar met kerst steevast (minstens) eentje in huis had.
I took the set Artful Amaryllis for my card. It is such a sweet romantic set I think, and it reminds me of Christmas. Not because the Amaryllis is specifically a Christmasflower, but because my dear mum, who passed away this year, loved them so much and always had (at least) one at Christmas.
Liefst dan natuurlijk zo'n grote bloembol, zodat je de bloem kon zien opkomen en uitvouwen. Best spectaculair! Dat het dus voor mij vooral een kerstset is komt dus vooral door mijn herinneringenm dat zul je vast begrijpen. Een stukje nostalgie.
She especially loved the bulbs, so that you could see the flower coming up and unfolding. Just spectacular to watch! So I suppose you will understand that the fact that for me this is a set that reminds me of Christmas, is because of all these memories.
Ik begon met een vierkant stuk van dit prachtige Season of Elegance DSP, in Basic Beige met gouden accenten. Ik scheurde twee tegenover elkaar liggende hoeken schuin af. Met inkt en een Blending Brush bracht ik hier en daar een vleugje roze ( Bubble Bath) aan.
I started with a square piece of this gorgeous Season of Elegance DSP, in Basic Beige with gold accents. I tore of the two opposite corners. With ink and a Blending Brush I added a hint of pink (Bubble Bath) on some spots.
Dit vierkant plakte ik vervolgens op een vierkant van dezelfde maat in de kleur Moody Mauve, waar ik op de hoeken relief had aangebracht met de stans uit de set. Vervolgens gebruikte ik de afgescheurde hoeken om de uitgestanste Amaryllisbloemen onder te stoppen, zodat ze er onderuit lijken te puilen.
This DSP square was adhered to a sqare of the same size, of Moody Mauve Cardstock in which I had made a fun dotty pattern with one of the dies in the Amaryllis set. Now I used the torn corners to tuck the diecut Amaryllises under it, to make it look as if the flowers came bursting out.
Met Stampin'Blends bracht ik wat kleuraccenten aan, en ik gebruikte het getextureerde Metallic cardstock om de gouden meeldraadjes toe te maken.
With Stampin'Blends I added some colour accents to the flowers, and I used the Textured Metallic paper to add the gold details to the flowers.
Het geeft de kaart meteen een weelderig luxe en feestelijk gevoel!
It instantly gives the card this abundant, festive and luxurious look!
De gestempelde bloem werd ook goud, door deze te embossen en met de prachtige invulstempels uit de set bracht ik de kleur aan. Het detail en de schaduwing van deze stempels is geweldig mooi!
The stamped flower is also in gold, because I heat embossed it, and with the lovely fillerstamps I added the colour. The detail and shading of these stamps is gorgeous!
Ik vind het altijd heerlijk als je zoveel kunt met een set!

De tekst komt ook uit de Artful Amaryllisset, en deze verwerkte ik op een dubbel label uit de Greetings of the Season Dies. Met wat Gold Trim werkte ik het af.
The text is also from the Artful Amaryllisset, and I stamped this on a double label from the Greetings of the Season Dies. Some Gold Trim finished it off.
Ik zei toch dat het een lekker overvloedig luxe kaartje zou worden?
Didn't I tell you it would be a luxurious card?
En zoals ik bijna altijd doe, deed ik nu ook. Ik voegde wat prachtige dots toe, deze keer met gouden vlokjes er in. Het brengt een kaart altijd tot leven, zo'n bijpassende versiering!
And as I do almost on every card: I added some lovely matching dots, this time with small gold flakes in them! a matching decoration always brings life to a card!
Veel details en laagjes dus, maar toch een geheel! Ik vond het heerlijk weer met deze set te werken!

Lots of details and layers, but still there is unity! I loved working with this set again!

Ik koos een prachtige nieuwe set met bijpassende stansen, waarmee je prachtige Amaryllisbloemen kunt maken!
I have chosen a beautiful new set with matching dies, with which you can make gorgeous Amaryllisflowers!
De set die ik vandaag in het zonnetje zet is Artful Amaryllis! Met deze prachtige set kun je deze imponerende bloemen op vele manieren namaken!
The set that I am putting in the spotlights today is Artful Amaryllis. With this beautiful set you can make these impressing flowers in several different ways!
Bij de kaart die ik pas geleden liet zien (je vindt hem HIER) maakte ik er een klassieke kerstkaart mee in vintagekleuren. Nu koos ik voor een andere kleurenvariant!
On the card I made recently with this set I created a classical Christmascard with it in Vintage colours! (You can find that card HERE) Now I wanted to make another look!
Hier gebruikte ik vooral de stansen om de bloemen mee op te bouwen. Met inkt, en een Water Painter kregen ze een mooie watercolourlook!
In this case I mainly used the dies to build the flowers. With Ink and a Water Painter I gave them a pretty Watercolorlook!
Niet te keurig, maar juist een beetje rustiek! Daarom voegde ik aan het Flirty Flamingo ook wat Wild Wheat en Pecan Pie toe!
Not too precize, but a bit rustic! Tat is why a added tiny bits of Wild Wheat and Pecan Pie to the main colour Flirty Flamingo!
Om dat rustieke een beetje door te voeren verwerkte ik de bloemen op dit prachtige papier met houtmotief, uit het pak Country Woods DSP, dat te vinden is in de jaarcatalogus!
To stick to the rustic look I added the flowers to this lovely paper with wood design, from the Country Woods DSP, from the Annual Catalog.
Door de hoeken af te scheuren zie je stukken van het onderliggende papier. Dit is Flirty Flamingo Cardstock waar ik met de Forever Plaid embossingfolder het ruitjesmotief heb gemaakt. Door hier met een Pecan Pie inktkussen zachtjes overheen te vegen krijg ik direct een verweerde look die natuurlijk helemaal in het plaatje past!
By tearing of the corners you can see the underlaying paper. This is Flirty Flamingo Cardstock that I gave this fun Plaidpattern with the Forever Plaid Embossingfolder. By wiping a Pecal Pie inkpad over the embosed carstock I got this wathered look that fits the picture very well!
Het begint allemaal mooi bij elkaar te komen!
It all starts coming together!
Het Wild Wheat kleurtje liet ik terugkomen door dit prachtige lint onderaan om het paneel te wikkelen. Links op de kaart bond ik het bij elkaar met een stukje twine. Daarnaast kwam de tekst.
The used colour Wild Wheat is used again by adding this pretty ribbon to the bottom of the panel. On the left I tied it with some twine, and next to that I added the text.
Hier en daar voegde ik nog wat dotjes toe, waarbij de gouden glinsters die er in zitten heel mooi passen bij het kleurenschema van de kaart!
On some spots some lovely dots were added. The gold accents go well with the colourscheme of the card!
Door de kleuren is het nu een vriendelijke, warme, rustieke sfeer geworden, die echt bij de hersttijd past. Je kunt met Artful Amaryllis echt veel kanten op, en verschillende sferen maken. Dat vind ik leuk om te zien, want dan is het een set waar je lang plezier van hebt!
Because of the colours this has become a card in a friendly, warm, rustic style. that fits nice in this autumnal part of the year.You can go in different directions with Artful Amaryllis, and achieve many different looks with it. I love that, it means it is a set with great value!
