Welcome to this Bloghop of the International Totally Technique Designteam! This month we have chosen another fun technique again and together we will show you several examples of it! Happy to see you here!
This month we will have some magic fun with the Floating Elements Technique!
With this technique you can create the illusion that some element of your card is floating.
Like I did here with the Kiwi's!
This time I selected this stampset for my project: Hello Kiwi! This is such a fun set, and so realistic and easy to work with!
I started with stamping several kiwi's.First the detail stamp in Black Memento, and with Lemon Lime Twist I filled it up. That way youcan colour the images, in one stamped impression. Next I stamped the splatterstanp in Garden Green to create some colourvariation and depth!
All kiwi's were fussy cut with my Paper Snips. Since all those shapes are very simple, cutting them is very easy! Next step was cutting a piece of Window Sheet and arrranging all the Kiwi's on it. When I was happy with the composition I adhered all the pieces with Multi Purpose Liquid Glue. When the glue was dried I cut off all the overhanging pieces. I made sure I kept the cut of pieces for a next step!
We gaan dus snel verder!
Well that looks like fun, but I do not see any floating yet... Let's move on rightaway!
Now I took the Nested Essentials Dies, and chose this lovely shape from the set. I diecut it out of the Window Sheet. That way I got a frame! I turned it around and added Dimensionals exactly where I had glued the kiwi's on the other side. That way you will not see them when you turn the sheet back. I adhered it on a piece of Granny Apple Green cardstock, which is a lovely combination with the Kiwi’s! And look, we have created depth! Do you see it?
Now I used the frame to make a card!
The text was heat embossed in White on some Basic Black Cardstock!
Then I realised it would be a waste not to use the centre part I had cut out!
So I turned that into a card too!
Less Is More is hier zeker van toepassing!
To make sure not to overwhelm the effect of the "Floating Kiwi's" I kept the rest of the cards rather easy! Less is more, does definitely apply here!
Wat subtiele accentjes zijn genoeg!
Some subtle accents are sufficient!
And wow yes! I almost forgot to tell this: The leftover "offcuts" were used to decorate the insides of the cards a bit! That is such a nice way to complete a card, don't you think?

Hello and welcome to the Ink Stamps Share Bloghop. This is an extra bloghop, that comes next to our usual monthly Hop. In this Showcase Bloghop you can just show, whatever you have been working on! So there will probably be lots of versatility!
One of the things I have been doing the last week is cleaning up my stampcorner, and finishing some UFO's ( UnFinished Objects). Using up some leftover pieces was also part of it! One of the things I found was this stack of lovely flowers, which I made for a project, but ended up not using them then!
I had made these flowers with the set Crane of Fortune and the matching Good Fortune Dies. This beautiful, eastern oriented set is in our Mini Catalog.
I went to work with the flowers, and ended up with these two cards!
They are similar, but not the same!
I used the flowers to make a panel in the Floating Frame technique. From the panel I made a frame and a centrepiece by using the Stitched Rectangle Dies. Both parts, the frame and the centrepart were used to make a card!
To turn these parts into luxurious cards I added more elements from the Symbols of Fortune Suite, the collection of products which the stampset and dies are part of too! That way I could effortlessly match everything.
The images, the colours and the addition of a bit of gold are elements that make the rich, eastern look.
And the frame and centrepart give a lot of dimension!
Here are some details of the first card, on whickh I used the centre part. I added the beautiful Crane, and diecut several leaves that were tucked behind the panel.
It was all placed on some beautiful Designer Series Paper!
Ik vind dit Symbols Of Fortune Specialty Designer Series Paper echt beeldschoon!
I think this Symbols of Fortune Specialty Designer Series Paper is absolutely gorgeous!
And here are some details of the second card, on which I used the frame!
Here I placed the Crane and the diecut leaves in the inside of the frame, which gives a different look!
The text was heat embossed in white, and cut into strips.
For some extra contrast I added some Black Matte Dots, and the beautiful Gold Shimmer Ribbon gives the cards some more glam ;o)
I know, these cards are luxurious, a bit of the top and have lots of details, but sometimes I just love that! And since these are two good Fortune cards, I think some abundance is allowed, don't you agree?
There are several people who could use a abundant portion of good fortune!
I hope I have inspired to check on these beautiful and unique Suite, before it will be gone!
