Vandaag is het onderwerp: Make it Mini! Daarom maakte ik weer eens een paar FINCHIES!
Today our theme is Make it Mini! That is why I deceded to make some FINCHIES!
FINCHIES: Dit zijn kaartjes van een specifieke maat, vier inch hoog en twee inch breed, met de vouw bovenaan, en altijd voorzien van een decoratieve topper!
FINCHIES: these are mini cards with a specific size: Approx. 4 inch high, two inch wide, with the fold on the topside, and always with a decorative topper!
Ik vind ze heerlijk om te maken, die kleine kaartjes, en mocht je het ook willen proberen, dan zeg ik je alvast: Ze zijn verslavend! Finchies zijn bovendien ideaal voor bij een kadootje, bij bloemen, of om er bij te stoppen als je een pakketje te versturen hebt.
I just love making these, such small double cards, and in case you want to give them a try too, I warn you: They are very addicting! On top of that Finchies are perfect to add with flowers, on a gift, or in a package you send.
Ik begon met de gezellige achtergronden. Deze stelde ik samen uit stukjes van het geweldige Timeless Plaid DSP, die ik een beetje hotseknots op de ondergrond plakte. Ik ben helemaal dol op die leuke ruitjes in warme, rustige kleuren.
I started with the fun backgrounds. THese were assembled with pieces of the goorgeous Timeless Plaid DSP, that were placed on the background in a playful, wonky way. I just love these plaids in warm muted colours!
Deze achtergronden waren een leuke basis voor mijn tuinthema!
These backgrounds were a good base for my garden theme!
Deze afbeeldingen komen allemaal uit deze geweldig leuke set: Storybook Garden Patch! Deze schattige set is te vinden in de Mini Catalogus.

Ik stempelde een heleboel van de afbeeldingen en kleurde ze in met Stampin'Blends, natuurlijk in kleuren die ook in het DSP voorkomen. Zo weet ik zeker dat straks alles goed bij elkaar past!
I stamped a hole bunch of the images and colored them all with Stampin'Blends, ofcourse in the colours that are also in the DSP. That way I am certain it will all match perfectly!
Daarna stanste ik ze allemaal uit, en verzachte ik de witte randjes door met inkt en een Blending Brush een vleugje kleur aan te brengen.
Next I diecut them all, and softened the white edges a bit, by inking them with ink and a Blending Brush.
En met alle onderdeeltjes stelde ik op de kaartjes de kleine tafereeltjes samen.
And with all these little elements I made the little scenes on the cards.
Voor de toppers greep ik terug naar een geweldige set uit de jaarcatalogus: Keeping Tabs. Met de stempels en de pons kun je daar heel simpel de prachtigste tabjes mee maken!
To make the toppers I took a set from the Annual Catalog. Keeping Tabs! With the stamps and the matching punch making pretty tabs for all kind of occasions is simple and easy to do!
Met het geschulpte lint en het linnen draad werkte ik de tabjes gezellig af.
With the scalloped ribbon and some linen thread I finished of the tabs in a fun way.
Als allerlaatste voegde ik nog wat Antieke Parels toe, die heel erg leuk bij de nostalgische uitstraling van de Finchies passen!
As a last detail I added some Antique Pearls that look very pretty with the nostalgic look of the Finchies!

Deze maand is ons onderwerp: Gepreorderde nieuwe producten! Dat betekent dus dat je volop nieuwe producten uit de nieuwe, aankomende jaarcatalogus gaat zien!

En ik dacht, laat ik voor deze gelegenheid met een lekker vrolijk project komen!
My thought was, let's bring on a happy project for this occasion!
Het is een vrolijke funfoldkaart geworden, waarop ik lekker veel van de geweldige nieuwe producten kan laten zien!
It is a happy funfoldcard, on which I can show a nice amount of gorgeous new products!
Ik gebruikte er namelijk de nieuwe Hues of Happiness collectie voor, die te vinden is op bladzijde 108 en 109 van de nieuwe Jaarcatalogus die op 3 mei in zal gaan!
For this card I used the new Hues of Happiness Suite, which can be found on page 108/109 of our new Annual Catalog. The New catalog will start on may 3rd!
Ik houd er van om nieuwe kaartmodellen te verzinnen, en dit is er zo eentje. Het is een Multi Panel Flap Pocketkaart!
I love designing new cardshapes and funfolds, and this is one of them. It is a Multi Panel Flap Pocketcard!
Het leuke van zo'n kaart is dat je heel veel flapjes en vakjes hebt om te versieren!
Fun part of making a card like this is that there are so many flaps and spaces to decorate!
Degene die de kaart ontvangt, zal bij het openen steeds nieuwe elementen ontdekken. Het is echt een "spannende" kaart! Hier heb ik op al die plekjes allerlei lieve boodschappen verwerkt!
The person that pens this card will keep on discovering new elements for a while! I think that makes this an exciting cardfold. On this card I added sweet little messages on several spots!
Zo'n kaart is dus eigenlijk een kadootje op zich!
A card will probably be concidered as a gift!
Ik combineerde allerlei onderdelen uit de Hues of Happiness collectie... het Designpapier, de stempels, de stansen en een combinatie van dit alles! Hier combineerde ik bijvoorbeeld gestempelde bloemen op cardstock, bloemen die ik uit het designpapier knipte, en blaadjes en bloemen die ik uit het designpapier stanste! En zie je dat leuke randje, waardoor het papier uit een schetsboek lijkt te zijn gescheurd? Dat is ook een stans uit de set!
I mixed all the elements of the Hues of Happiness Suite. THe Designer Series Paper, the stamps, the dies, and all kind of combinations of that all. On this part for example I added flowers stamped on cardstock, fussycut flowers from the DSP, and leaves and flowers that were diecut rom the DSP! And did you see that little "torn out of a sketchbook-edge"? That is a die from the set too!
De bloemen uit de Happiness Abounds zijn ook prachtig om in te kleuren! En wat een gave teksten he?
The flowers from the Happiness Abounds stampset are lovely for colouring techniques! And aren't these sentiments gorgeous?
De bloemen gebruikte ik bijvoorbeeld ook om de basiskaart een beetje aan te kleden!
The flowerimages were also used here to decorate the cardbase in a subtle way!
Alles past zo mooi bij elkaar! En naast de bloemenmotieven zitten er ook supermooie verfachtige motieven in het DSP. Dat combineert weer prachtig met elkaar natuurlijk!
Everything matches so lovely! Apart from the flowerdesigns there are also lots of beautiful paint-like designs in the DSP. That mixes perfectly with the flowers!
Deze keer koos ik voor de blauw-paarsige tinten, maar er zitten veel meer kleuren in het papier, dus een volgende keer kan ik weer een heel andere combinatie maken!
This time I chose for the bleu/purple hues, but there a many more colours in the paper, so next tome I can make a very different combination!
Laten we het laatste stuk van de binnenkant van de kaart niet vergeten, de pocket! Daar heb ik een minikaartje in gestopt, maar je kunt hier natuurlijk ook een kadobon, geld of bijv een lekker theezakje oid in stoppen!
Let's not forget the last part of the inside of the card: The pocket! Today is tucked a cute minicard in it, but it is also a perfect place for something like a gift card, a bit of money, or simply a nice teabag!
Op dit minikaartje heb ik ook de geweldige achtergrondstans gebruikt die in de set zit. Je ziet er net een stukje van aan de rechterkant van het kaartje!
On this minicard I also used the beautiful background die from the set. You can see a small part of it on the right side of the card!
Ik ben gewoon helemaal verliefd op deze blije, vrolijke, kleurrijke serie producten en kan niet wachten om er nog veel meer mee te gaan maken!
