Nu de maand maart is begonnen, begint ook het voorjaar enorm te lonken....
Now that the month March has started, the spring is becoming a bit visible too!
En toevallig schijnt de zon, op het moment dat ik deze blogpost typ, hier heerlijk naar binnen! Hey zonnetje, we hebben je gemist!
And at the moment that I am making this blogpost, the sun is peeking through the windows! We missed you, sun!
Binnenkort dus weer tijd om lekker in de tuin aan de slag te gaan, en deze voorjaarsklaar te maken! Enfin, het is duidelijk waar ik mijn inspiratie aan ontleende voor deze kaart!
Soon it will be time to start working in the garden, and to make it all Spring-proof! Well, now it is clear what inspired me today, when I made this card!!
Ik ging heerlijk aan de slag met deze heerlijke set, Garden Meadow, een heerlijke tuingerelateerde stempelset met bijpassende, uitgebreide stansset! De set is te vinden in ons Online Only aanbod. Dat wil zeggen dat deze items niet in de catalogus te vinden zijn, maar je ze online kunt bekijken.
I went to work with this lovely set Garden Meadow, a gardening-related stampset with a matching large set of dies. The set can be found in our Online exclusives offerings. This means the product is not in any catalog, but you can find it online!
Omdat ik een rustieke sfeer wilde bereiken, waarbij de tuinitems er niet helemaal smetteloos en nieuw uitzien, maar lekker gebruikt en echt, kleurde ik de afbeeldingen in met Blender Pens en inkt. Je kunt daarmee zo veel leuke effecten en kleurverschillen bereiken!
Since I wanted to give the scene a rustic athmosphere, and didn't want the items to look brand new and shiny, but a bit used and smudgy, I coloured the images with Blenderpens and Ink! That way I was able to add structure and little colour differences.
De kleuren koos ik aan de hand van de kleuren in de achtergrond!
The colours were chosen, inspired by the colours of the background!
Het is het Meandering Meadows DSP! Mooi he? Het heeft aan een zijde prachtige schilderachtige tuinmotieven, en aan de andere zijde bijpassende neutrale prints. Ook dit papier is weer een Online Only artikel.
It is the Meandering Meadows DSP. Isn't it pretty? It has beautiful painted gardendesigns on one side, and more neutral designs on the other side!

Hier gebruikte ik beide kanten van het papier. In het prachtige houtdesignpapier stanste ik de opening met een van de stansen uit de GardenMeadows stansset, en achter de opening kwam de "tuin" achtergrond. Zo kreeg ik een leuk diepteeffect wat dimensie geeft in het tafereel.
Here I used both sides of the paper. In the lovely wooddesignpapier I diecut the opening with one of the dies from the Garden Meadows Stampset. Behind the opening I added the gardendesign. A nice way to get a sense of depth and dimension.
Ik voegde een simpel tekstje toe, en versierde dat met wat linnen draad.
I added a simple sentiment and decorated it with some Linen Thread.
Hier en daar kwamen nog wat kleine Libelles uit dit pakje zelfklevende libelles en vogels. Door de koperachtige glans lichten ze mooi op, en geven ze net even die finishing touch.
Then some dragonflies from this pack of Adhesive Backed Dragonflies and birds. The coppery shine of them lights up, and they are the perfect finishing touch.
