Vandaag is het onderwerp Feestdagen!

Today our theme is Holiday/Seasons!

Daarom maakte ik deze super-over-de-top-zoete kerstkaart!

That is why I made this super duper sweet Christmascard!

De gemberkoekman, de vele snoepjes, de zoete kleurtjes, ze dragen allemaal bij aan het suikergehalte ;o)

The gingerbread man, lots of candy, the sweet pastel colours, they all attribute to the sweetness.

Ik gebruikte deze schattige, en zeer uitgebreide Gingerbread Man set voor, en ook de bijpassende stansset!

I used this cute and very complete set Gingerbread Man, and also the matching dies!

De koekman heb ik geheatembossed, en de randjes zijn geinkt. Zo krijg je een echte koekjeslook.

The Gingerbread Man was heat embossed and the edges were inked. That way you get the baked cookielook.

Aangezien ik voor superzoet ging heb ik snoepjes als knoopjes gemaakt. Het zijn net tumtummetjes toch? ;o)

Since I went for ultimate sweetness I added candy as buttons. They are rather realistic ;o

De Candy Cane in zijn hand versierde ik met een strikje van Linnen Draad.

The Candy Cane in his hand was decorated with a little bow, made of Linen Thread.

Voor het contrast deed ik onder de koekman een witte cirkel gemaakt met de Spotlight on Nature Dies.

To add some contrast I added a circle, diecut with the Spotlight on Nature Dies, behind the Gingerbread Man.

De vierkante Gatefoldkaart maakte ik van Pool Party cardstock, daarop kwam een witte matlaag, en daar bovenop weer een laagje Pool Party, waar ik met de Forever Plaid 3D embossingfolder een mooi ruitmotief in aanbracht.

The square Gatefoldcard was made of Pool Party Cardstock. On top of that a mattinglayer in Basic White was added, and on top of the White, came another layer of Pool Party, which got a lovely Plaid pattern with the Forever Plaid 3D Embossingfolder!

Het is zo leuk om al die details toe te voegen!

It is so much fun to add all these details!

In de hoeken van de kaart voegde ik lekker veel extra snoepjes toe!

In the corners of the card lots of extra candy was added!

De snoepjes en Candy Cane versierde ik met Klassieke Plakparels.

The Candy and Candy Cane were decorated with some Classic Pearls.

En natuurlijk maakt een passende tekst met woordspeling het helemaal af!

And ofcourse a fitting text with a bit of humour, finishes it all off!

Het is altijd leuk als de binnenkant van een kaart bij de buitenkant past. De leuke kruimelstempel in de set vind ik zo grappig!

It is nice to make sure the inside of the card matches with the outside. The fun Crumb- stamp in the set is so funny!
