Deze maand laten we zien hoe je een soortgelijke kaart kunt maken, van eenvoudig tot uitgebreid!
This month we will show you how can make similar cards, from simple to stepped up!
Zo zie je dat je het zo uitgebreid kunt maken als je zelf wilt, en dat je zowel als beginnende stempelaar (of gewoon liefhebber van eenvoud) als als vergevorderde stempelaar die dol is op details en technieken, met dezelfde basis kunt werken en daar naar eigen idee dingen aan kunt toevoegen of juist weglaten!
That way you can see how you can make a card in any style you like, from beginner stamper (or just as a person who prefers simple stamping) to a experienced avid stamper that loves adding details and techniques. You can start with the same base, and then add items as you like!

Vandaag maakte ik dus een serie van drie kaarten. Ik begin met een basis, daarna voeg ik leuke extra's toe, en tenslotte maak ik het lekker uitgebreid, en alledrie zijn ze superleuk om te doen!
So that is how I came up with this set of three cards. I started with the base, then added some extra's and then a more detailed card! And all three are superfun to make!
De set waarmee ik aan de slag ben gegaan, is de set Decorated With Happiness, met ook de bijpassende Decorated Pine Dies! Een fantastische set, met een gave schetsachtige look en mooie invulstempels met aquarel effect! Stempels en stansen zijn ook samen als voordeelpakket te bestellen, en zijn te vinden in de Mini Catalogus!

The set I worked with today is the stampset Decorated with Happiness and also with the matching Decorated Pine Dies! A gorgeous set in a sketchy style with lovely "fillerstamps"in a watercolor look!
I love this set so much that I developed a Masterclass in Artistic Style with it, which you can find in the agenda.

Voor de eerste kaart blijf ik bij de basis! Inkt, stempels en papier!
Deze keer hield ik het op de klassieke kerstkleuren, rood en groen!
Op een vierkant paneel stempelde ik de dennetakken in Evening Evergreen en vervolgens de bijpassende 'inkleurstempel"met een lichtere groentint, Old Olive. Aan de tak stempelde ik de ornamenten in Cherry Cobbler, en daarna stempelde ik er de watercolourstempel overheen, in Real Red.
Het stempelen in twee stappen, op deze manier, noemen we two-step stamping. Ook met deze basismaterialen kun je dus al een techniek gebruiken!
Als decoratie wikkelde ik er wat Linen Thread omheen.
De basiskaart gaf ik een leuk accent door het dennentakje er op te stempelen. Heel rustig, en toch mooi aangekleed.
For the first card it was just the base: Ink, stamps and paper!
I decided to use the classic Christmascolours, REd and green.
On the sqaure panel I stamped the branches in Evergreen and then the matching shadowstamp in Old Olive. On the branch I staped the ornaments in Cherry Cobbler, and the watercolourstamp in Real Red.
Stamping in two colours is called Two step Stamping. So also with just a limited amount of products you can add a technique!
As a decoration I used some Linen Thread.
The cardbase was decorated by stamping the little branch in the same colour. This gives a subtle but nice result.

Bij de tweede kaart zie je wat er gebeurt als je slechts enkele items toevoegt. Dezelfde opbouw, maar toch een heel ander resultaat!
Hier stempelde ik de takken en kerstornamenten op een los stuk papier, en stanste ze vervolgens uit met de Decorated Pine Dies. Hierdoor kun je ze mooi uit het vierkante paneel laten steken. Dat geeft een speels effect en veel diepte.
Het vierkante paneel stanste ik uit met de Stylish Shapes Dies, wat een mooi subtiel stikselrandje geeft.
De toevoeging van het DSP geeft een groots effect!
Naast het Linen Thread voegde ik hier ook gouden pareltjes toe aan de ornamenten.
Door een subtiel scheurrandje voeg ik ook hier een eenvoudige, maar doeltreffende techniek toe, waar je verder geen gereedschappen ed voor nodig hebt!
On this second card you can see what happens when only a few extra items are added. The card is built up in the same way, but the result is rather different!
Here the branches and ornaments were stamped on an extra piece of paper, and then diecut with the Decorated Pine Dies. That way you can let them pass the edges of the square panel whick gives a fun and dimensonal effect. This time the panel was diecut with the Stylish Shapes Dies, which gives a nice stitched edge.
The addition of the DSP gives a big difference on this card! Apart from the Linen Thread I used some gold pearls to decorate the ornaments.
By soing some tearing I add a technique here as well, it is simple but adds some nice texture, and you don't need any extra products or skills for it!

En bij deze derde kaart ging ik heerlijk uit mijn bol. Ik voegde extra producten toe, en een aantal techniekjes!
Het vierkante paneel voorzag ik van een zacht kleurverloop mbv Blending Brushes. Daarna maakte ik er gouden sterretjes op met Heat Embosssing en goud embossingpoeder.
Er kwamen extra laagjes DSP en ik voegde diverse scheurrandjes toe.
Naast Goud embossen stanste ik ook onderdelen uit Gold Foil Sheets, en gebruikte ik een tussenlaag van het prachtige Distressed Gold Specialty Paper. Zo komt het goed steeds weer terug bij deze kaart.
De takjes stanste ik uit Shimmery White cardstock en kleurde ik met inkt en waterpainters. Dit geeft een rustiek effect!
Bij de ornamenten ging ik lekker los, want ik wilde graag lekker veel verschillende technieken en combinaties zien om de ornamenten te maken. Je kunt hier natuurlijk ook elementen weglaten ;o)
Het Linen Thread verving ik voor prachtig lint.
On this third card I went overboard, and added extra products and some techniques!
he Square panel was partly coloured with Ink and Blending Brushes. The stars were stamped and heatembossed in gold.
Some extra layers of DSP were added and some more tearing was performed, to add texture.
Next to heatembossing in Gold I also diecult some elements in Gold Foil Sheet, and an extra sqaure layer was added from the Distressed Gold Specialty Paper.
The branches were diecut from some Shimmery White Cardstock and then coloured with ink and Water Painters. This gives a rustic effect!
I know... I went a little overboard with the ornaments, since I wanted to show and use as many combinations and techniques as possible. By sticking to the same colours all combinations can be made. And ofcourse you can add more or less details, it's all depending on your own preference.
The Linen Thread was replaced by some lovely ribbon!

Zo zie je maar, je kunt met een set als deze alle kanten op!
This is a way to show you the many ways a set can be used!
De eenvoudigere kaart is door iedereen te maken, en je hebt er weinig producten voor nodig. Bovendien is deze ook snel en goed in grotere hoeveelheden te maken!
The more simple card can be made by stampers of any skill level, and you don't need many products for it. Apart from that this card can very easy be made in bigger amounts.

Kleine elementen kun je naar eigen idee toevoegen. Zo kun je natuurlijk ook in stappen je collectie stempelmaterialen geleidelijk opbouwen, en zo steeds verder je mogelijkheden uitbreiden! Maak je andere combinaties, krijg je meteen weer een heel ander resultaat! Zo krijg je met de zelfde materialen elke keer iets heel anders!
Elements can be added depending on your own taste and possibilities. That way you can easily build a collection of stamping products, and get more possibilities with every addition you have in your stash! And when you make another combination, ofcourse the result will be totally different too! That way you can make something totally new with the same products!
