Vandaag gaan we aan de slag met Embossingfolders en Inkt! En echt....daar kun je echt ontzettend veel leuke dingen mee doen! Embossingfolders zijn op zich al te gek, maar samen met inkt worden ze bijna magisch!!
Today we will work with Embossingfolders and Ink. Those two combined give such great creative possibilities! Embossingfolders are always fun, but together with ink they can do magical things!
Mijn idee was het om met deze combinatie van Embossingfolder en inkt een onderzeesfeer te maken!
My idea was to use this combination of Embossingfolder and ink, to make an underwater Scene!
En de blikvanger en sfeermaker op mijn kaart is ook echt het centrale paneel geworden!
The vocal point and the most athmospheric part of my card is the central panel!
Veel inkt en emboswerk kwamen er bij kijken. Het ziet er misschien ingewikkeld uit, maar eigenlijk is het heel makkelijk om dit effect te bereiken.
Lots of inking and an embossing was involved. This may look a bit difficult, but in fact this effect is rather easy to achieve.
Natuurlijk leg ik je graag de werkwijze uit! Mijn basis was deze keer het Seabed 3d Embossingfolder!
Ofcourse I love to share with you what I did! My basic item was this beautiful Seabed 3d Embossingfolder.
Er zijn veel manieren om inkt op je embossingfolder te doen. Je kunt het direct met je inkpad er op deppen, of het bijvoorbeeld met een waterpainter aanbrengen. Maar voor een subtieler resultaat doe je het inkten met een sponsje, en dat is dus wat ik gedaan heb! Belangrijk hier, is dat ik de juiste kant van mijn embossingfolder beinkt, en dat is in dit geval de kant waar ook het StampinÚp!logo op staat!
There are several ways to ink your embossingfolder. You can do it directly with your Inkpads, by just dabbing it, or you can use a Water Painter to add the ink for example. But for a more subtle result you can also use Stampin'Sponges to add the ink, and that is what I did for this project. Important fact is to ink the right side of the embossingfolder, and in this case that side is the one where the Stampin'Up logo! is printed.
Om een mooi kleurverloop te krijgen sponsde ik met drie kleuren inkt. Daarna sloot ik de embossingfolder met het stukje Whisper White Cardstock er tussen en haalde ik het geheel door mijn Stampin'Cut & Emboss Machine. Je krijgt dan dit mooie resultaat!
To get a nice gradiant coloureffect I sponged with three different Ink colours. Then I closed the embossingfolder with my Whisper White cardstock in it, and ran it through my Stampin'Cut & Embossmachine. And this is the nice result I got.
Je kunt het stukje dan natuurlijk zo al gebruiken, maar je kunt ook wat extra kleur toevoegen. Hier heb ik met een Sponge Dauber bepaalde stukjes heel licht gedept met inkt, en andere ingekleurd met mijn Water Painters en inkt. Ik heb bewust ook stukjes wit gelaten.
Ofcourse yoy can use the cardstock as it is then, but you cal also add some extra colour. In this case i used Sponge Daubers to add, very carefully, some colour to certain parts. Other element were coloured with Water Painters and Ink. I also left some parts white!
En dan is het tijid om het paneel op een kaart te verwerken!
And then it is time to use the panel on a card!
Ik probeerde alles mooi op elkaar af te stemmen.
I tried to coordinate everything.
En ik voegde laagjes toe van Cardstock en Designpapier, in bijpassende kleuren.
And I added layers of cardstock and Designer Series Paper, in matching colours.
Het designpapier komt uit dit prachtige pakket: Whale of a Time DSP! Hoe vaker ik dit gebruik, hoe mooier ik het ga vinden!
The Designer Series Paper is from this gorgeous Whale of a Time DSP! The more I use this paper, the more I am falling in love with it!

In de hoek maakte ik een leuk groepje van elementen, voor het echte diepzee gevoel! ;o)
In the corner I made a fun composition of elements, for the real Deep Sea feeling ;o)
Hiervoor gebruikte ik de Whale Done stempelset, en de bijpassende Whale Builder pons, die samen ook als productpakket (met tien procent bundlekorting) te bestellen zijn.
For this I used the Whale Done stampset and the matching Whale Builder Punch, which can also be ordered together as a bundle.
De walvis stempelde ik, en ponste ik uit. De waterplanten stempelde ik en knipte ik uit. Met wat sponswerk hier en daar krijg je mooie kleurnuances. Verder frutselde ik er nog wat witte sprietjes tussen die ik ponste met de Sprig Punch. Voor wat rust deed ik er een cirkel onder die ik ponste uit Vellum Cardstock. Als "belletjes"gebruikte ik wat Elegant Faceted Gems, omdat die ook meteen een prachtige schittering geven.
The whale was stamped and punched out. The waterplants were stamped and then fussycut. Some sponging here and there gives some nice subtle colourvariation.. I also fiddled some white bits in between them which were punched with the Sprig Punch. I also added a circle that was punched from some Vellum Cardstock, to give it all a nice base. Some Elegant Faceted Gems look like "bubbles" and add some sparkle.
The tekst komt ook uit de stempelset, en ik maakte er een bannertje van met de Banner Pick a Punch.
(Deze pons is echt al een heus favoriet basisitem van me geworden!)
The greeting is also from the stampset and I turned it into a banner with the Banner Pick A Punch ( that punch is really one of my new favourite basic items!)
Bijna alles wat ik gebruikt heb komt uit deze supergave Whale of a Time Suite. Deze kun je vinden in de jaarcatalogus op bladzijde 94-96! Een vrolijke Suite, met een altijd goed thema, geweldige afbeeldingen en prachtige kleuren!
Almost everything I used today is from this gorgeous Whale of a Time Suite! This Suite is in our annual catalog! Such a happy, versatile suite, such nice designs and beautiful colours!
Dit was mijn project weer voor het Totally Techniques Designteam! Ik hoop dat je het leuk vond, en dat je ook deze techniek eens gaat uitproberen. Gewoon doen, en lekker experimenteren!
