Het thema van deze hop is Christmas in July! Nou, als je vaker op mijn blog kijkt weet je dat ik deze hele maand een Christmas in July Marathon doe, dus daar kan deze extra kerstkaart ook nog wel bij!

The theme of this hop is Christmas in July! And well, if yo have followed my blog lately, you know I am participating in a Christmas In July Marathon this month, so this extra card was no problem at all!

Deze kaart maakte ik pas geleden als een extra voorbeeld voor de Kijkkast Teamdag.

I made this card a few weeks ago, as an extra example for a Kijkkast Teamday!

We deden deze superleuke dag een aantal activiteiten naar aanleiding van Creativity Now, een online event voor Stampin'Up! demonstrators. We hebben heerlijk een hele dag gekletst en geknutseld met een prachtige nieuwe serie producten die er binnenkort aan komt!

This superfun day was filled with creative activities, following an Online event of Stampin'Up! just for demonstrrators, called Creativity Now. We have been crafting and chatting all day and got to play with a beautiful new collection of products that will be available in the coming Mini Catalog!

De hele serie producten heeft een winters karakter en met dit voorbeeld liet ik zien hoe je deze ook een kersterige draai kunt geven! Deze prachtige vogels knipte ik uit het Nests of Winter DSP.

This collection has a wintery character and with this card I wanted to show how you can give it a more Christmassy look! I Fussycut the birds from the Nests of Winter DSP.

De stoere achtergrond maakte ik door eerst de sneeuwkristallen te stempelen met de set Sparkling Snowflakes, die je in de jaarcatalogus kunt vinden. Daarna bracht ik het relief aan met de Birchwood 3D Embossingfolder, die nieuw is, en onderdeel van de hele Suite Colectie. Je krijgt met deze embossingfolder een prachtig berkenbast effect. Om het wat stoerder te maken haalde ik mijn inktpad lichtjes over het geemboste cardstock.

The grungy background was made by first stamping the snowcrystals with the set Sparkling Snowflakes, which can be found in the Annual catalog. Next I added the embossed effect with the Birchwood 3 d Embossingfolder. This beautiful bark structure is gorgeous! To add to the grungy look I wiped my inkpad carefully over the embossed cardstock.

De collectie bevat ook geweldige stempels en stansen. De stempels gebruikte ik hier voor de tekst, de stansten gebruikte ik om diverse losse takjes te stansen die ik onder de afbeelding vandaan liet piepen. Zo wordt het lekker bosachtig.

The collection also contains stams and dies. In this case I used the stamps for the text and the dies to diecut the branched that I tucked under the raised images. It gives that lovely woodland vibe.

Omdat een kerstkaart altijd wel wat glimmers gebruiken kan voegde ik wat glanzende sequins toe, en een laagje Wink of Stella op de afbeelding en alle gestanste takjes.

I think a Christmascard is always better with a bit of glitter, so I added some shiny sequins and a layer with the Wink of Stella Glitterbrush on the image and diecut branches!

Voor deze kaart haalde ik inspiratie uit een van de Creativity Now projecten, alleen voegde ik er een megadik Kijkkast sausje overheen! Het is leuk om te laten zien wat kleine veranderingen en aanvullingen aan effect kunnen hebben.

For this card I was inspired by one of the Creativity Now projects, I just added a big layer of my own Kijkkast sauce to spice it up a bit.  It is always fun to show the effect of little additions or changes!

Het duurt nog even voor de najaarsminicatalogus, waarin ook deze producten zullen staan, uitkomt, maar ook nu is er al volop verkrijgbaar om aan de slag te kunnen voor de kerst! Ook in de Online Only afdeling is het nodige aan kerstitems toegevoegd. Zo leuk allemaal! Kijk vooral eens terug op mijn blog als je meer voorbeelden en inspiratie wilt!
