Deze keer maken we zomerse projecten met Two Tone Cardstock!

This time we will make summery projects with Two Tone Cardstock!

Er is zoveel leuks dat je met dit gave cardstock kunt doen! Leuk om daarbij gebruik te maken van de speciale eigenschappen van dit cardstock!

There is so much you can do with it! It is fun to use all the special properties or this particular cardstock!

Het two tone cardstock heeft namelijk een lichtere en donkere zijde, maar wel van de zelfde kleur, en de kern er van is wit!

The two tone cardstock has a lighter and a darker tone of the same colour on both sides, and the core is white!

En dit geeft zulke leuke mogelijkheden!

And this gives us such nice possibilities!

Deze keer kreukte ik het two tone cardstock flink, streek het weer glad en veegde er met schuurpapier overheen! De omhoogliggende kreuklijntjes worden nu wit! Dit cardstock heb ik vervolgens in strookjes gescheurd, waardoor je ook mooie witte scheurrandjes krijgt. Deze stroken heb ik overlappend op mijn basispaneel geplakt. Als je goed kijkt zie je dat ik de donkerdere en lichtere zijde afwisselend heb gebruikt. Na het plakken heb ik er mijn grootste clearblock opgelegd zodat het mooi vlak opdroogt. Klaar!

This time I carefully crumpled the TwoTone cardstock, flattened it with my hand, and wiped some sandingpaper over it. The raised crumpled lines become white now! This cardstock was torn in strips. That way you also get the nice white tearinglines. I glued them to the base panel a bit overlapping. If you wath carefully you notice that I used both the lighter and the darker side. After glueing I placed my biggest Clearblock on top of the panel, to make sure it would dry flat. That's all!

Ik vind al die textuur die dit techniekje oplevert zo gaaf! En zeker met de kleuren die ik gebruikt heb, nodigt het uit tot het maken van een zomers strandtafereeltje!

I just love all the texture this simple technique provides! Especially in these colours it is inviting me to make a summery beach scene!

Ik stempelde en stanste allerlei leuke strandaccessoires, van zwemband tot tube zonnebrand!

I stamped and diecut all kind of fun beach accesories, from floating ring to some sunprotection!

Met de witte gelpennen bracht ik wat accentjes aan en met de Wink Of Stella Glitterbrush bracht ik op de zonnebrilglazen en teenslippers wat glittertjes aan!

Wit the White Gelpens I added some accents, and with the Wink of Stella I added a glittery layer on the glasses and the flipflops.

Met de pareltjes leukte ik de teenslippers en zonnebril nog wat meer op, en tussen alle elementen door kwamen nog wat oranje (Timid Tiger) platte parels als accent.

With some small pearls I spiced up the flipflops and sunglasses a bit more, and between all the elements I added some orange (Timid Tiger) flat pearls as accents.

Het is leuk om zo met contrast te werken.... De zonnige kleuren en strakke lijnen van alle strandaccessoires, tegenover de ruige structuren van de achtergrond!

It is always fun to work with contrasting elements, like the sunny colours and clean elements of all the beach accesories, against the rustic textures of the background!
